To be fair, the show made this mistake once or twice. But Fosgitt makes it an awful lot.
 
Look, if you can’t be arsed to draw how a pony sits, MLP is simplified enough where you can just draw them like a dog or cat sitting.

And I thought Fosgitt’s anatomy was bad before. You can see Celestia sitting on her throne in the intro of every single episode and even if you’ve never watched the show before, the basic understanding of horse anatomy that you can learn simply by watching them move should be enough to tell you this sitting pose is wrong.

Yeah I have to agree whoever drew this did a botched job on Celestia I mean Twilight and pinky look fine maybe a little too chibi for some people’s tastes but Celestia’s muzzle or lack thereof is disturbing and the only thing I can think of to justify the mangled leg anatomy is that they were trying to make her semi-anthro which makes no sense in a story with normal ponies
