okay so I attempted to do this digitally. I have lost some practice given the fact that I kinda don’t do digital art all the time. mostly trasitional. however, I am still practicing on how to do textures and how to use the tools on photoshop to its maximum capacity. I still have a long way to learn. but antway lets tal about the art in hand.  
so, I created a bat pony oc  
for her name in stuck weather to make it Dicentra Spectabilis or Aria Lamprocapnos  
she was inspired by the flower also known as the bleeding flower which is her cutiemark.  
an aspect of the flower that is compatible with her is that of isoquinoline. the ribbons she wears around her hooves and neck are there to cover and contain the harmful effects of isoquinoline. just like the flower, se releases toxins that can cause skin irritation and be of harm. thus she wears the ribbons to contain it. if anypony tries to take them off to see her intoxicating scars, be aware that she will scream, and if you do manage to rip it off, the toxins will be of harm  
that’s some of what I know about her as of yet
 
what I tried doing on her mane and tail, giving her some sort of a starry and luminesent feel. since she has mostly cool colors a mahagony red, which would classify as a warm color, sort of balances out he colors..
