Yeah. It’s because armor doesn’t exactly stop concussive force. Sure, you can block the shrapnel and other explosive debris; but let’s be honest, you will not stop a shockwave from ripping through you without sufficient distance. This can be observed with a thermobaric missile where the explosion itself isn’t what kills you, it’s the shockwave exploding your lungs. (Also, if you think that’s bad, give Boone Mercy, 100 standard 40mm rounds, tell him off from your party, then open fire. Go ahead, I dare you to try.)
