I cried.
Actually this would have made for a really nice two part hour long special, could have wrapped up the season really nice.
Would have been been nice if it were maybe an hour long special.
I personally feel like there was enough there for a believable arc, even if things did happen a bit fast. But I completely understand if people find it rushed and/or not believable.
That’s only because of some of them hitting on a more personal level than others. The CMC one didn’t feel nearly as emotional to me as, say, “Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3” or “Equestria Games” did, but for me, they just take me out of my comfort zone due to a disturbing sense of familiarity.
Amending Fences felt less awkward to me, though. To me, it felt more like they just took a character and turned it into Hermit Twilight Sparkle, then built a whole episode around an obvious breakdown the character would have due to Twilight Sparkle being so adamant about “being friends”.
@Keith Mowz
I didn’t think it was emotionally impactful at all. Only episode this season that I almost cried during was the one with Moon Dancer. Now that was emotional. I can barely watch it without feeling horrible.
Or peas
ur faec is flawed in hindsight >:(
It’s the shit that pizza gives you: It’s a Pizza-shit.
Man its too bad the fact that its immensely emotionally impactful even just at the time counts for fuck-all apparently. If its flawed in hindsight? Meh 6/10 its a piece a shit.
I feel like it’s a great example of the benefits of waiting to react. At the TIME, it’s emotional n’ all, but after a day to take everything in and sort it out, the episode turns out “better than average”.
To be honest, though, that’s remarkably good considering how some of the other episodes have been this season.
Diamond Tiara’s “redemption”: Utter bullshit! It’s as if they didn’t even try to make it believable in any way.
Yeah, it’s definitely an episode you need to be ready for; there’s a lot to take in for a single episode. But I didn’t think it was rushed the second time.
This was the first pony episode that I actually watched several times during the weekend it aired.
The first time I watched I was getting ready to head home from work and was so stupefied by what happened, because I didn’t see any of the spoilers to clue me in for what I was in store for, so Sunday I had to watch it over again several times to bring it all in.
@Goobington
When I saw this I literally cried
Same, the first time I was still expecting an “it was all a dream” end then processing that it actually happened.
