Old news, but this was really cool. A ‘One Percent’ businessman goes down to talk to Occupy Wall Street-ers. Of course, OWS is long gone and many years old, but it’s interesting since a lot of the economics he talks about are still relevant today, and one of the things he mentions that hurts American economy is how in order to stay competitive, companies have to shift their jobs overseas, and the government has put so many regulations on hiring that every company owner HATES hiring because of how dangerous and expensive it is.
 
That’s really interesting since Trump’s whole thing has to do a lot with jobs and decreasing foreign competition with Tariffs and such, forcing companies to make jobs in the US more instead of abroad. He’ll have to couple that with looser laws with regards to employees, though, otherwise it’ll help the economy but also hurt it a bit.

I’m excited. I hope a lot of right-oriented groups get courage from Trump’s success, and Europe finally stops being such a pushover.
 
I don’t want a full Nazi regime, but the further they stretch the rubber band left, the farther right it’s gonna fly when it snaps back.

Keep in mind a lot of “right wing” in Europe isn’t the same as “right wing” in the US; there are many parties here that are based on outright racism, xenophobia, religion, and base nationalism, with very little care for economic or social issues. Politics is very nuanced.

I’m hoping your joking, but since we’ve seen this kind of thing for many months now, I don’t know if you are, but if you seriously can’t tell what I’m saying then I’m just going to say; go outside, take deep breaths, and embrace rationality and colloquialism a bit more, then try to understand what I’m saying.

Back in the days in which we had write-in votes (we use electronical urns now), we managed to “elect” (he was ineligible on the acount of being an animal but he still got more votes than anybody else running) a rhinoceros in the city council elections in São Paulo and thirty years later, a monkey ended in third place in the mayor elections for Rio de Janeiro (once again, the votes were counted as invalid).
