Just finished Gravity Falls.

Welp, Avatar is dangerously close to being dethroned as my favorite animated series, and I blame Alex Hirsch.

I also keep seeing People say it’s wrong to celebrate because people are losing the jobs.
But I don’t think it works like that

They’ll probably find other jobs. Like Gravity Falls or any other concluding show.

I guess my prediction was right.

Though I have to admit, Velma should have at least not had the special end in a freaking cliff hanger. At least have it in a conclusion just like FIM in season 3. That’s just tempting fate lol.

I can’t wait for Scooby Doo to move on to bigger projects.

I guess the biggest thing Velma did was it made people remember Be Cool Scooby Doo fondly. (Maybe I’ll check the show out one day to see if it really was underrated.)

Another thing I’ll say about Gravity Falls: Shows like this are why I wish we had better adult animation with more variety, both in story and genre. Gravity Falls explores the possibilities of animation as an art form; imagine if it were allowed to be unfiltered! We need more good adult cartoons that aren’t about a pathetic aging guy self-destructing.

I just got the art of the Cuphead Show

It’s a really good read, and I am also sad to find out the studio had so many more ideas for episodes they wanted to make but couldn’t do to time and budget.
From what I read, we could have had episodes centered around Beppi, Djimmi, Cagney Carnation, Hilda Burg, the return of Baroness von Bon Bon, and even Evil Cuphead & Mugman.

For that matter, it’d be nice to have more adult cartoons that are more then just constant edgy violence and fart jokes.

Some more serious ones would be nice too.

The Wild Robot is now predicted to have a bigger opening weekend at the box office compared to Joker 2

Exactly what I’m saying. The raunchy animated sitcom genre is played out. And I’ve frequently heard people tell me, “We already have Bojack, isn’t that enough?”

…No! No it’s not enough!
If kids’ cartoons are allowed to have variety in genre and tone, so should adult cartoons.

Yeah, though recently most kid/family cartoons focus too much on comedy too, like adult cartoons.

And by that, I mean we haven’t had any darker or more serious shows, and such for kids along the lines of 90s Batman, and 2003 TMNT.

Disney has cancelled Moon Girl and Devi Dinosaur after 2 seasons

It’s a bloody shame. One can’t have nice things for too long these days.

So yeah after forgetting that Moon Girl had a second season I’m now gonna binge watch it.

And dammit the first episode of S2 gave us the Beyonder and Molecule Man. This is going to be a bittersweet affair.

This just makes me feel worse. It was still pretty good.

And once again the final line of the show was oddly appropriate. “You are not doing this again!”
