Ponibooru Film Night

Since we have a forum for Derpibooru now, I thought we should have a general discussion thread for Ponibooru Film Night. And I guess this can be an informative thread about the film night itself. Maybe any questions about it or something.

Seriously however, I personally would like a higher amount of animated movies, the last 4 weeks or so were common films, I can stand a bad animated movie but not a bad film. ;P

Could we suggest movies here?

@hero yes, it would keep it interesting instead of just having the same people picking out movies. we’d have a lot more diversity.

Will I ever be the guest voice? :3

The crew needs to tackle Hard Ticket to Hawaii one of these days.

I love the idea of giving the audience a chance to choose the movies, but for example, assuming 20 people suggests 20 different movies, how do we choose one in the end exactly?

Ya’ll should do Battletoads.

Well Feral Socks has a list of people to have for guesting. So i put him in the spotlight for that. We have robomorons for april.
 
As for choosing movies, we can look through any ideas given and see which ones work for movie night. we don’t do straight up comedies because they’re supposed to be funny, even if they’re trying to hard.

I do have suckerpunch though. it’s just fan service. But it is fucking stupid. It’s like a rip-off of tokyo gore police.

“But it is fucking stupid” I know XD, so is pretty much every other film we’ve watched at film night :P, it’s not like we choose films for being or not stupid.
 
Anyways, I’m still gonna propose sucker punch for next week then.

I was also thinking about maybe watching Titan A.E. at some point ‘cause I haven’t seen it since I was like ten years old (I think I still have the VHS tape somewhere) and I remember it being pretty awesome as a kid but now I wanna watch it just to see how much of that is nostalgia, what do you guys think?

Requirements: A working microphone, a fairly stable internet connection, a sense of humor, and availability on Fridays at movie night time. Also, we have to have heard of you. No random applicants.
 
As it stands from this thread, Jacko and Vlack are up next, provided they meet the requirements.

I will say that there has been one rule I’ve tried my best to stick us to.
 
No horror or comedy. Neither seems to work well for film night.

How about “chuck E. cheese in the Galaxy 5000” or the cinematic masterpiece that is “The incredible bulk”?

I say we watch “Sniper Vs. Spy”.

Even though I can’t join this film night thing, could you perhaps watch The Real Jurassic Park? It’s a documentary from 1995 that you can see on YouTube.
