RIP MythrilMoth
Pinkie has button eyes and a standard wide smile seen commonly on dolls. This shows that she is a puppet to her work  
Rainbow on the other hand has a zipper mouth and blank empty eyes. This is most likely telling us that she is a compulsive liar, and no long can see the kind of future most do.  
In essence, these are both tragic souls in a wonderful piece of art
