This reminds me of Kingdom Hearts (and is tagged as such)
 
So,  
I see Twilight representing Sora, Being the very being that swings the power to banish darkness and those without heartfelt intentions. Bringing together the hearts of other worlds as one.
 
I see Luna representing Master Xehanort (Had to look up the spelling. xD) Being a keyblade master and having fallen into a lust for power and control.
 
I suppose Celestia might represent Ansem the Wise (Though Twilight might represent him better) seeing how the discovery and understanding of Kingdom Hearts came from him.
 
In a game all about hearts, heartless, nobodies and shadow, I’ve no Idea who Cadance would represent.
