The last thing I remember was getting up from our picnic to take a short dip and then looking back when you were asking what bread I wanted for my sandwich… and then it all goes into a blur.
 
The next thing I really remember was you yelling my name really loudly and I was suddenly standing over you with bread in my mouth…

Perhaps appropriately, I’ve found one of the best ways to avoid angering geese is to be reading a book when you walk by them, thus obviously having your attention focused elsewhere.
