Scootaloo: No, no ‘five more minutes.’ We need all the daylight we can get.
 
Applebloom: Horseapples. Fine, ahm up, ahm up. When’s breakfast?
 
Scootaloo: As soon as Sweetie Belle is up. She’s good at setting things on fire. That campfire was really blazing last night.

Applebloom: Well if I don’t get somethin’ in my belly soon, I might just chance it. We got any vittles left?
 
Scootaloo: Not much vittles, no. We’re going to have to do as the pony pioneers did: rough it and forage for food.
 
Sweetie Belle: Rarity would have a spaz-out if she had to dig around for her breakfast. I miss her so much. I miss my mom and dad. Heck, I even miss Opal!
 
Applebloom: Hey, don’t ya’ll fret none. We’re gonna make it home and see everypony again. We just got to be tough like AJ, smart like Rarity, and brave like Rainbow Dash.
 
Scootaloo: Chow time girls! ‘throws down some freshly-caught fish’

Scootaloo: Going to have to be omivores for now. These fish are full of protein. We’ll need it for energy if we want to make it over those mountains. Its that or go hungry, ‘cause there isn’t much but this dried up old grass. You eat it and our water supply will be gone in ten seconds flat.
 
Sweetie Belle: I’d rather eat the grass than become a meat-eater! ‘cross her forelegs and pouts’
 
Applebloom: I got to agree with Scoots, Sweetie Belle. We’re gonna need our strength if we want to survive and get home. We’ve got a long way to go.
 
Sweetie Belle: Ugh…fine. I’ll get a fire going. ‘she focuses for a moment and lights her horn. Focusing her magic on some freshly gathered firewood, she gets the flame going’
