Uhh… I’d call three people raised in opposing cultures overcoming their hatred and blaming of each-other pretty meaningful?

But the resolution of G1 episode is so much more wholesome and actually has some sort of meaning.

In all fairness g1 ice strom lasted only one or two days when g4 neverending winter seemed to have lasted for mounth so it’s logic that g1 ponies were lest affected.
 
And in both show usually villain get good at the end cause it is the common way to get rid of a villain in show where you can’t introduce violence. G1 had Katrina, the pinguin king and the glass princess that I don’t remember the name anymore when G4 have only Nightmare moon and the dragonshy dragon for now but it’s still running.

Also singing would probably be a decent idea. Get th’ ol’ bones movin’ and warmin’ up before the big huddle. If ya didn’t have anything better anyway.

BRUTALLY killed, I might add. Seriously, those couple of seconds of Tirek dying were more violent then the Sunbow G.I. Joe cartoon in its entirety. Say what you will about pre-FIM My Little Pony, but Midnight Castle was fucking hardcore!
