Sonic just did the best thing for rainbow dash, giving her a chance… to be happy. To go into space at the speed of light at his side. To know what it’s like to have a super form. And to know what it’s like.. to have a very special speedy blue hedgehog by her side to show her what fun and adventure really is.
As a supporter of Sondash, I know this is a friendshipping pic, but it warms my heart. I love this comic. Sonic The Hedgehog and Rainbow Dash 4 LIFE!!
Note: in the DA the artist is well aware of the Sonic/Dash ‘shitting’ and tried to make story worth sharing but disabled the comments to that piece because of BOTH FANDOMS came be highly negative rather than constructive. I have to admit, fandumbs are their own worst enemy at times.

Are we even watching the same show? Since when has she had family?
Though Rainbow does seem to be an adrenaline junkie who’d want to fly in space beating up giant robots and world-destroying cosmic beings on a weekly basis rather then dealing with the slice of life drama that’s only occasionally broken up by a monster fight.
It has been proven (in canon) that RD has a complex that she constantly try to prove that she is the best. Once she gets a certain doubt in her head, she goes into depressed/jealous mode (Sonic Rainboom or the Mare-do-Well episodes).
With Sonic, who is more like a peer in terms of speed and daring (and from the impression in the comic, a little more experienced than her), it is pretty much in character that she would be feeling slightly inadequate. It’s not really a putdown on her importance, but just giving her some perspective on how big the world or ‘universe’ is. Sonic however, not putting her down is basically encouraging her to continue on living life to the fullest and continue pursuing her goals.
Sonic just isn’t great.
I like the idea behind it. I just wish it was done in a different way than slapping in a shitty character like Sonic and using his plot device to make Dash even more OP.
Dash was a far better character in Sonic Rainboom than the rest of the show, when she was an underdog. When she was struggling for recognition. In season 2 she became the best flyer in the world, no doubt. Characters are better when they are struggling for something, Dash doesn’t struggle anymore.
Hell, her wanting to be as powerful as sonic is a fine idea (I guess) but then, boom, she’s even more OP than usual. It makes it hard to cheer for a character when they’re just too good.
I haven’t played recent Sonic games, so I don’t know how creepy he really is.

I saw a comic with Dash and Sonic, came to give it a shot. It wasn’t good. Annoys me that people seem to be randomly gushing about it being IC when it really isn’t for Dash, and since Sonic really has no solid character it doesn’t matter much for him.
