All I know is that there seems to be a lot of bizarre assumptions regarding culture, biology, and the artist flying around.

It was initially uploaded a month ago; apparently a better version was uploaded about 7 hours ago, and the old one (and all its comments and votes) got merged into this one.
Then we will have to settle this in the field of honor, choose your weapon sire and let us fix this in the way gentlemen do.

True enough, though with Spike currently in the eight-to-ten age range as Lauren Faust pictured him, I still find it difficult to see this happening. It gets even more difficult with the extra year you add. But it’s still a sweet notion. (At least it was until everyone else jumped in an decided this should be a big stupid drama war; props to them for defending your vision, not so much for blowing everything so rudely out of proportion.)
Whatever other opinions are involved, I personally thank you for remembering to include Spike in the story of Twilight’s life rather than forgetting about the child in her care in favor of focussing solely on her romantic relationship.
You’ve done a few black/white line art images of Spike, but maybe one with him and Luna in color like this, showing that Luna accepts that Spike is part of Twilight’s life, one that is now part of hers, too?
I think maybe part of the issue is a disagreement or misunderstanding for how far into the future this is. It wasn’t meant to be too far into the future, perhaps a year or two, though perhaps Twilight’s social maturity and ability to hold a relationship could be questioned. That’s the realm of fanfics, though.
It’s nice wish-fulfillment, though. I appreciated SilFoe for not forgetting Spike, but my problem with it is that she tries to pass it off as something that could happen in canon. The only wish-fulfillment I’m pushing is that a character who would be a teenager at this point not be cuddling with his mom/sister/best friend and her girlfriend.
I was actually done here until @Background Pony #DFBB and @Blissey1 stirred things back up.
No one ever has that opinion when I’m the one contributing to drama xD
