Twilight’s the only one who knows that her attempts at making a counterspell are a complete and utter failure, lying to her friends that its going well. And at the same time, when she was just about to ask Sunset Shimmer earlier for help on the spell, her need to live up to her new title, her own ego, and most of all Celestia’s expectations, causes her to toss aside any heroism, self-preservation, and rational thought, and Twilight stops herself from asking Sunset’s help, even though this was after Twilight already completely trusted Sunset, and after Sunset warned Twilight about the emotional damage of being under Celestia’s ridiculous expectations.
 
In other words, Twilight totally knows that the dazzlings will steal all their energy with no counterspell and they’re all going to die horribly by the sirens.

Wait, what was that last sentence?

Oh come on Twiley, you shouldn’t feel disgruntled, you should feel very gruntled indeed! All your friends love you so much, they all think you make the perfect pillow for a sleepover! <3 Just enjoy their warm snuggles and get some rest, okay? :3
