Well, I have nothing in particular against Spike, but I don’t get all that bothered by his occasional exclusion. Maybe that’s because I have yet to feel like he’s really come into his own. He still just feels like Twilight’s little friend, boarder, assistant, etc. Even his “saving the day” in the Crystal Empire only happened because like a little puppy chasing its mother, he can’t stand to be away from Twilight for long.
He needs to initiate something, kind of like Dragon Quest, only without all the silly babysitting.
