Depends on how they handle it, I mean just look at the “body horror,” and disturbing things they have in some modern kid-shows like SpongeBob, or “Flapjack.”
Even some of the new/old mutants in the new TMNT are kinda creepy/freaky/gross looking.
But they would likely cut out all the body horror and stuff that made it cool.
They should reboot/remake that.

Actually, I do see some bashing/hate for Luna for being “Popular/overrated.”
Celestia: bashed
Cadence: bashed
Twilight: bashed
Luna: worshipped and praised like god and insanely overrated despite still lacking major character development, don’t get me wrong i like her, i just find all of the princesses to be under used in some way and are inly thrown in as filler or to help drive the plot.
It’s a fanservice picture. Get the fuck over yourself.
