Twilight blushing like crazy in the last movie when she interacted with him, and the bits in the RR prequel book with her thinking about Pony flash don’t count?
It take more then one side to make a it work.
given how they spent about 60 seconds of the last RR preview focusing on him stumbling over himself about wanting to see twilight again, I don’t see how they’re NOT continuing on the Love interest train with him.
I probably wouldn’t say love interest, but due to their characteristics between Tuxedo Mask and Flash, maybe.

that role would probably go to flash, seeing as how he’s twilight’s love interest…

He’s not more her love interest then any other male character, so nope.
