I’m more hoping it turns out like Kamen Rider Fourze: typical high-school drama interspersed with monster attacks, and the monsters tend to have a slight connection to whatever high-school drama is going on at the time.

Is it too much to hope that the Equestria Academy spin-off turns out to be a lot like Cromartie High School?
As much as I’d prefer they go more realistically and address the weird stuff directly, your version is a good replacement for me.
Probably any new students who hadn’t been there when the weird stuff started happening.
…In fact, if that rumored “Equestria Academy” spinoff turns out to be a thing, I kind of hope that a lot more weird stuff starts happening, to the point where the characters start lampshading it.
You can’t imagine how glad I am for that.
No one else in the school is not going to question why it happens, because they’ve already seen weird stuff that school year.
