I agree, it needs more love. Only problem with it was, it took me awhile to understand how the “card combination” system works for special abilities.
Also, it looked quite dark if you played it on the original unlit GBA. (Which of course, is no problem on the GBA SP or WiiU.)
Still, it’s one of the better “Metroidvania”-style Castlevania games. I’d like to see a new “Metroidvania”-style game on 3DS, even with 2D graphics/artwork like the older ones. (Which would still look nice in 3D.)
Circle of the Moon’s one of the real underrated titles.
Also, hate to get off-topic, but one of my favorite Castlevanias “Circle of Moon” is out in Japan for the WiiU Virtual Console now.
(Wish they’d bring GBA games to 3DS to, but looks like it’s not going to happen…)
