Description

Scene from “Survivor Shy”, a story that follows Fluttershy living in a world completely and suddenly devoid of other ponies.

With nopony to turn to, Fluttershy is forced to learn to fend for herself, and find a way, if possible, to bring back ponykind and save Equestria.

The story is told through the images, and the story excerpts they inspire. The scenes are not typically created and uploaded in chronological order, making the true turn of events a mystery that the readers must unravel as more scenes are revealed.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

“As dusk began to fall upon Everfree Forest, much sooner than I expected, I returned to the Old Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters for shelter for a second night.

“My stomach grumbled at me for not finding much food in the dense forest, but without any knowledge of the strange plantlife, I didn’t want to risk eating something that would make me ill. Water and a little bit of grass had to do, for now.

“I ambled through the castle to the Throne Room, where I would be staying for the night, and soon entered the vast space. I took my canteen and saddlebags off, feeling better to have shed the weight after carrying it non-stop for days on end, and settled down to sleep beside a window, where the bright stars offered a little security and comfort.

”‘Tomorrow’, I said to myself, ‘I’ll head for Canterlot. There must be somepony up there, somepony who can help.’ I gradually drifted off to sleep, hoping to escape reality for a few hours.

“I was being chased in a land of shadows of purple night-light. Everywhere I ran, my pursuer was close behind, waiting for me to make a mistake. It came all too soon.

“I ran into a wall, and frantically I looked around for a way around or over. Behind me, I could hear the thing chasing appraoching, and desperately I tried to find an escape route, but I was trapped.

“Slowly, I turned around, and stared off into the shadows, and watched in terror as a sickly black and purple mist gave way to the black silhouette of a tall pony. I backed up against the wall and held my breath as the pony drew near. The completely blank space where its eyes should be narrowing into a smug look of satisfaction.

“In an otherworldly voice, it spoke to me ‘You may have got away the first time, little Fluttershy. But I will have you yet!’ Out of the dark smoke surrounding it, a tendril slowly reached forward, carrying a large, purple orb. Inside I could see the tiny silhouettes of ponies hopelessly floating around, and the orb seemed to be trying to pull me from my very bones. The pony silhouette waved a second tendril ocer the orb, and the scene changed to show a silhouette of a Pegasus who beared my Cutie Mark. ‘One day, Fluttershy, I will get you. I will take the very essence of your being and trap you for all eternity in this, and you shall become nothing more than a victim of my torment.’

“The silhouette motioned the orb away from me, and leant towards me. I turned my head away to avoid looking into the void space where its eyes should be. In a low, intimidating voice it finally said: ‘But until then, feel free to run away - I very much enjoy this chase, and no matter how far you go, I’ll always be right here.’ It tapped me on the side of my head. ‘Inside. Your. Head.’”
