Since the “tries and fails to fly” thing kind of happened, even if the issue was never solidified.
Pelswick is one other cartoon where the main protagonist is in a wheelchair.
Well they’ll need to work hard to manage to do this right.
Before i watch the CMC Chronicles episode i thought Pinkie’s story was a lot darker than it was, let’s see if they can handle this again.
I kind of see it that way, but if it was done as a means to develop her as a character and done right then I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but if done as a “handicapped people are the same as any other person” then I don’t want to see it.
Some people don’t like meta, more don’t like discussing what could have been had Faust stayed with the show.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Though, didn’t we learn that in “Lesson Zero”? At least, that’s the lesson I learned from it.
FIRST we need that really special episode about drug-abuse, THEN we can talk about disabled ponies and what not ûu
Obviously something isn’t normal for her physically, considering pegasi way younger than her can fly just fine.
It would be interesting to see her talk to Fluttershy when she has her episode.
And that’s why i don’t agree with Scootaloo being handicapped, this show is still innocent, having an older audience doesn’t makes it a teen show.
Can you imagine Scootaloo trying to fly and fail knowing she would never be able to reach the sky like Rainbow Dash?
How much depressing and out of the plot is that?
Who knows, maybe they’ll throw a curve ball and still have her be disabled. I doubt it but it would be a good surprise.
However they do it, I’m sure it’ll be handled well.
MLP’s target audience is probably within grade schoolers, but with the studio’s tougher goal of making it an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
Scootaloo’s episodes that she never got would have been about her realizing she will never fly and coming to terms with that sometimes you can’t ever reach your desires. Still will be interesting to see how they handle it now, considering that it is one of the unanswered questions about her character.
Ya, like that, if the point of the show is for kids to learn then it’s not a kids show to me, if it’s mane point is to entertain them(even if it does involve learning) then it’s a kids show.
Actually shows like Dora and Diego are baby shows, where it uses reeally forced and clean dialogue.
Kids shows are more mature, like MLP.
MLP its obviously a kids show, but its a great one, being a kids cartoon doesn’t mean its childish.
… Could you please define what age-group you’re talking about, when you mention “kids”?
What you call a kids show I call a toddler show.
When I think of kids shows I think of Dora and Diego.
I don’t really consider B:TAS to be a “kids show”. It was just a really awesome cartoon.
