I had no idea about Insektors, but Megatron’s pre-beast body reused Reboot CGI models, and Shadow Raiders came after Beast Wars, not before. I double-checked both those things to be sure.
Either way, the point is, it was very early in the development of the technology, and it was a long time ago. It’s lucky it holds up at all!
Actually, there were other CGI shows before Reboot, most notably Shadow Raiders (also by Mainframe; in fact, what little we see of Megatron’s pre-Beast body in the premiere of Beast Wars is lifted from that show) and Insektors (which is actually what holds the honor of “First CGI television cartoon”).
It’s entirely possible, I’m not exactly shy about those opinions. Beast Wars and Animated are both great, and Prime was pretty epic.
And yeah, Beast Wars has some fairly primitive CGI, but in all fairness it was only the second CGI series on TV, and it’s nearly twenty years old now, so it kinda is primitive.
Yeah, Beast Wars is great, too, though admittedly in that show’s case the animation has NOT aged well at all. My two favorite Transformers series are Beast Wars and Animated, but I think I’ve talked to you about that on other images.
So the same way I feel about “Beast Wars”, basically.
“In Space” and “Lightspeed Rescue” USED to be in my top five, but then I saw Dino Thunder and SPD for the first time and those two supplanted Space and Lightspeed. Now “In Space” and “Lightspeed Rescue” are in slots 6 & 7. “Lost Galaxy” is at the top because… well, admittedly, it was the one that I personally grew up with, so it holds a special place in my heart, but I don’t feel that it’s the best simply because of nostalgia. Everything about it is just amazing.
Huh.
I’ve heard that a lot of Power Rangers fans at one point considered “in space” the best season, but it’s not on your list. Is this a trend shift, or do you just not share the general opinion?
Just curious.
Yeah, it was. Personally, my top five are (in no particular order, except for Lost Galaxy, which is at the top):
Lost Galaxy
Time Force
Dino Thunder
SPD
RPM
what about RPM that was a good season
If you’ll look at the post again, you’ll see that I did, in fact, label that part as bait.
Time Force isn’t the only good season of Power Rangers. A more accurate statement would be, “The Power Rangers fandom survived Operation Overdrive.”
I was gonna go with
but yours works too.
Then you used the wrong words.
i was just saying that chances of it being canon were low
You said, right here, that if it became canon it’d destroy the fandom. Are you changing your position?
I don’t think its an apocalypse i just don’t treat this as cannon along with comics until tv show give references to things happening in comics or EG movies. Using character model who have no memories of what happened in the movie is not big of a proof. If they openly mention something from movie of comic then im ok with this.
Also. there is no proof that it didn’t happen. And you haven’t addressed Sunset Shimmer, who was the more relevant part of this, being canon at least for the comics, which themselves can diverge from show canon, at all.
And as for EqG killing the fandom? It happened and the fandom lived with it. I don’t think it’s great either, but I don’t think the best way to deal with it is throwing a fit any time the subject comes up. There’s going to be another one and the fandom will survive that too.
Fandoms aren’t as fragile as you think. The Transformers fandom survived “Energon” and “Revenge of the Fallen.” The Star Wars fandom survived the prequels. The Star Trek fandom suvived “Voyager”. The Power Rangers fandom survived every season that wasn’t “Time Force”. (BTW, if you want to know what trolling is, that was trolling.) So with that in mind, I don’t think we can call Brad the horse/man of the apocalypse just yet.
…Do you even know what the word “trolling” means?
Its not canon, Flash appearing making her blush would make it canon. Flash as a new character appearing as a BG pony do not make it canon. There is not a single proof that EG ever happened and no one acknolwedge aything that happened there in the show. So be kind and stop trolling
Well, there’s this:
And this:
And the “Fall of Sunset Shimmer” comic (which is relevant because this discussion is about the comics).
But I guess we should ignore it all just because some literally nameless internet denizen says it’s not canon.
Lets just pretend these movies are just Monster High spin offs, and dont apply their logic and canon to FiM until any episode acknowledge it existence.
That’s what I was saying. There are no Season 4 baddies on this cover. No Tirek, no Mane-iac, no vampire fruit bats, etc.
You think Equestria Girls is bad? Pfeh. Count yourself lucky that things didn’t get far, far worse, person.
