I’m of the belief that characters create themselves, and then when they die back on their home realities they haunt some artist until they draw them… no matter how many alternate universes it takes.
 
So in conclusion Penders is actually just a medium facilitating the will of the extra-dimensionally deceased.

So do I. If Ken God-damn-motherfucking-son-of-a-bitch Penders (OK, this is getting a bit over the top, but that’s honestly what I think about him) didn’t start a series of frivolous “ORIGINAL CHARACTED DONUT STEAL” lawsuits, the comic universe would be a little more interesting. Heck, I think Scourge is the only worthy character he created.

I somehow can relate Sunset Shimmer with Scourge when I watched EqG. Both of them are the ‘evil’ counterpart of the protagonist (Twilight and Sonic, respectively), and they are manipulative bastards who will maintain their tyranny by any means and with the help from their henchmen (Snips and Snails for Sunset Shimmer, and Scourge has his Suppression Squad). And of course, the leather jacket.

In retrospect, Scourge should of been the protagonist in Shadow The Hedgehog. I mean, he’s already an asshole, curses regularly and I’m fairly certain he would have no problem using guns.
