Mmm… no, this is wrong.  
One can safely survive a whole minute naked in deep space. In fact, the body is quite capable of keeping the internal pressure.  
Longer exposure to vacuum would cause damages, and ultimately death (without taking the lack of oxygen into account), but it won’t double its volume for sure.

Exposure to a vacuum would cause a pony’s body to swell to up to twice its normal size as the water that makes up the majority of its body turns into water vapor due to lack of atmospheric pressure. They would be severely burned by unfiltered contact with harmful rays from the sun, before ultimately succumbing to hypoxia as the oxygen in the circulatory system leaves the bloodstream, rendering all cardiovascular-related systems useless. Next the pony will freeze over as the accelerated evaporation of sweat causes the body to freeze over. Soon, tiny bubbles of nitrogen begin to form in the bloodstream, creating blockages in veins and arteries, as well as blocking off circulation to the brain, leading to violent seizures. As the pony’s body is twisted and contorted by the effects of space, blood .flow is disrupted before ultimately failing. The blood would then boil as the boiling point for blood in space can drop down to below body temperature levels due to low pressure.
 
Assuming the pony made the mistake of inhaling a lungful of oxygen before being exposed to space, their lungs would also implode.
