So Fluttershy would rather go an a journey with her friends than spend time with two guys talking about guy things that she doesn’t care about. I think you’re just desperate to hate on this ship. Then you compare it to TwiSpike… lol get out.

Cheerimac has been teased in bunch of episodes while Fluttermac was in none.  
Beside in S5 trailer when Fluttershy was too scared to go on a mission with the mane5, Spike was happy and said that she may play with him and Big Mac with hoofball. She rather wanted to go on a dangerous mission. This ship was so dead since it was created and yet no one care about it. Its like TwiFlash getting canon yet people still ship Twilight with Spike. TwiSpike and Fluttermac will never happen, people.

Honestly, I think it’s one of the pairings involving the Mane 6 most likely to become canon. I think the only ones more likely to become canon are Flashlight and Sparity, and those just because they actually have some canon backing.  
Realistically, Hasbro isn’t going to canonize a lesbian pairing because they don’t want to offend the moral guardians, so that’s most of the pairings off the table. Similarly, they’re not going to use a married pony or have an incestuous relationship, so Shining Armor is off the table and Applemac ain’t happening.  
Any such pairing is going to be a Big Deal, and so it can’t just be with Sir Never-Before-Appearing-In-This-Show. There aren’t that many single male ponies with actual names and personalities, and of them, Mac is by far the best developed, and so the most likely prospect.  
Now, as for Mac’s prospects, he won’t be with Twilight or Rarity (because Flashlight and Sparity, respectively). Pinkie is too hyper and has demonstrated that she wouldn’t be good at the farm life (see Magical Mystery Cure), and Rainbow Dash isn’t going to get together with anypony that keeps her on the ground. Applejack is right out. So that leaves Fluttershy, and those two would fit together quite well, personality-wise.  
So, in short, I think that if they’re going to introduce a pairing between a Mane 6 pony and another existing pony, it’ll be Fluttermac.
