There is a reason they call it fisti(cuffs)
I warn you, I have seen a few scraps in my day and I’ve fought the worst.
Things like that do go to teach…
And I’m reminded of it…
cool
Having gone to lots comic book, sci-fi/fantasy, furry and brony conventions, fen/fannish folks are as varied as humanity itself. Not everyone is going to be a looker. Frankly, the older you get the more one realizes it doesn’t matter. Like what you like.
That was the Tequila talking.
Borny is a dinosaur from out imagination.
are you in defense of those who judge others they’ve never met for liking a show they’ve never watched?
@Zennistrad
what’s more unsightly is that any of us would distance ourselves from others on this same ride for falling short of being a pack of good looking male models dressed by fashion labels.
our image may be why we get so much shit, but how seriously can we take those who think someone is worth mockery or contempt for being ugly? or fat? or having a neckbeard? or wearing a certain hat?
sure i’d also feel perturbed when someone thinks they know me because they know a stereotype, and the offense i’d take is little more than being called jack instead of john.
my problem isn’t with our image, but with those who’d even believe the things people tell others about us without even getting to know us .
what is a fandom supposed to look like anyways?
engage me in fisticuffs, rapscallion
That guy on the right tho… “pay attention to me!”
Call it shallow if you must, but there really is no denying that a lot of us are overly self-conscious about our image.
It’s less judging children and more judging whoever captioned this thing
Quit judging children.
who said anything about shame
it’s just that it’s damn stupid to integrate a fandom label into your personal identity
and that goes for anything
stamp collector pride 4LYFE WOOOOOOO
enjoy your self-shame if it makes you feel safe from being shamed by someone else, maybe it’ll appease those who relentlessly give us grief
@cwiis
shallowly?
Guys?
Hello?
…
It just kind of looks awkward, and we don’t really like that stereotype.
they want their “borny pride” bullshit back
