Rainbow Dash would be Sayaka because of shipping and because they are pretty similar.
Rarity would be Mami because they are both focused on appearing cool and have a penchant for the theatrical.
Pinkie would then be Nagisa because of her love of cheese and her youthful nature.
Either way, this captures the same sad atmosphere of the anime, especially since we know and love the MLP characters so much (I love the Puella Magi too, though!) and want to see them succeed/overcome despair. I know I sound kind of cheesy, I just love leaving longer comments :-D
