So, just because the owner believes in traditional marriage, and doesn’t even discriminate against those who don’t, everyone has to go apeshit? This is why people are stupid…

It’s because we have nothing better to do. Also, this lets us feel like we’re being politically active without actually doing anything.

@bamakid1272
I won’t argue with you about your position on marriage equality, but as for why gays would be so upset over the dealing of a private business(aside from them proudly flaunting it and serving as a rallying point for their political opponents, I’m is that some the organizations Chick fil a donates to could in some respects be labeled as hate groups that spread slurs and lies about them(gays give aids, gays molest kids, gays will somehow destroy America, I could go on) and that, if they had it their way, would legally shove them back in the closet by rolling back the rights they’ve gained over the years. I’ll admit this whole thing is retarded and the some of the gay responses to this BS(kiss-ins, seriously?) are pretty pathetic.

They won’t be seeing any of my money, I can tell you that. Not just because of this, but also due to the fact that the only fast food restaurant that specializes in serving poultry where I live is a KFC.

You get the point, I made a bunch of errors. It happens when you just type a long ass comment and don’t really give two shits about perfect grammer in it.

as a Christian, yes I do believe that the Bible does state that homosexual relationships is a sin, and I do believe it as well. However, I’m not against gay rights. I don’t necessarily support it, but if someone wants to make that choice, let ‘em. Their mistake. There are a lot of other things that governments coud be putting resources in than trying to prevent two men or two women being in a relationship. I may not like their choice, but I’m not going to hate them for it.

But above all that, I’m a huge supporter of the First Amendment, and as such, I’m with Chick-fil-a. The man said “Hey, I’m Christian, an I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman.” Then many ga groups absolutely flip a shit. Seriously? Goo lord, they always talk about how they should have the freedom to marry, then don’t think the guy should have the freedom to have a different opinion without punishment? That’s straight up BS.

And on the subject that they have funded groups that are anti-gay: did anyone think that maybe they funded them for reasons other than that? From what I’ve seen, the groups do have other agendas besides “killin’ the queers.”

I’m christian and don’t care about gays and their marriages.

Unless they want a religious marriage but that’s not my problem but the church that gives them one because it either has no spine or was forced to do it by local authorities.

As for islam… the fanatical minority is somewhat lethal.
Unlike fanatical christians that will most of the time protest and take legal routes.

For example “Charlie Hebdo” a french periodical that ususally makes fun of christians.
Christians protested and took the legal route that usually ended in some minor financial penalty for “Hebdo” after whitch they continued mocking christians.

And after one (ONE) issue that mocked Islam their Office got firebombed and their Site got hacked from somewhere in Turkey.

So yeah the said fanatical minority can (and is) far more active than the christian fanatical minority.

@Sanguine
No.
That is wrong on so many levels.
I won’t argue about this, because I already discussed this before, but you got to realise faith can be good and bad as well as lack of faith.

The Emperor of man was right(Imperial truth). Religion is the source of hatred,corruption,segregation and violence towards mankind. It is time we need focus on human interests rather than useless religion beliefs. If we don’t then the age of strife will come true

I sorta have the same mentality toward Christians.
I don’t care what you guys or gals do as long as you’re not too vocal.
I just wish most would just be fine with gay marriage. Marriage evolves, like societies. Denying people that right is spineless and scummy.

I’m christian and don’t give a damn about gays.
The only thing i don’t like about them is how vocal they can get at times.

Also as far as i’m concerned any church allowing gay marriage has no spine whatsoever.

There’s always civil marriage.

Well, now that I’ve checked it out, I can weigh in; they’ve just found themselves to be a symbol in a much larger debate. All this guy did was state what his company’s principles has always followed. You can certainly imply an anti-gay message, but I would believe you’re blowing it up.
Now, as a Christian, I have my own belief on the underlying issue; no matter what beliefs I hold, in a country that is supposed to uphold religious freedom, then what I personally believe shouldn’t restrict other people’s options.
As for this thing, it’s just a metaphorical battlefield that I guess some folks are attaching themselves to.

@Prof. Nightjack
Ok, let me reword my earlier comment.

The owners are against gay marraige because of their christian views that are specific to the sect they belong to.

And also, I used to be a christian and have family members who are christian. So I know the varying degrees of acceptance for gay marriage.
