You made the exact same comment earlier.
And it was just as funny then. (As in “not at all.”)
See @Takashi.0
Because she’s a “mane 6” character, and has had more time in the show then Celestia has. So it’s not that surprising to me.
I agree, how is it possible more people voted for twilight than Celestia
well, Ok then..
Popular opinion would be an opinion, yes.
Why?
Is it because your favourite alicorn (whoever that may be) isn’t the most voted?
Opinions, that’s the key word.
like, the fact that 60-80% of fans always favor Luna in anything at almost any given time is an opinion?
So what I’m getting from that is
>opinions
Everypony has an opinion whoever they like is up to them. P.S I love Twilight Sparkle too
“Let’s all love Cadence!”
(A few weeks later…)
“Cadence is the most overrated princess ever.”
This is this argument in a broken nutshell.
Everypony loves Luna in my opinion Luna is Overrated as a Princess
it’s more that Luna is specifically made as her character to be by far the easiest, as well as most likely to catch the most popularity, because tendencies for games, troubled past, mistakes and awkward / funny, you pick which one.
she’s literally to me the definition of a toy and that’s why I find her such a boring and overrated character. You may feel free to argue with that, but the amounts of people who speedvote Luna in nearly every single poll of anything ever begs to differ.
besides, I find Celestia by far the most interesting because unlike Luna who was a part of the history of Equestria, Celestia was more or less the one who made that history and out of all princesses, she has the most potential in the show for something big.
That’s just how I like characters in positions of power, confident, strong, subtle, combined with an interesting backstory/history.
Maybe ‘overrated’ isn’t the right time for me to use. Simply put, I just like Cadance more…That’s it.
Simply put, she’s the Elvyra Mistress of the Dark of My Little Pony. Remember her cloack to bats scene? She is the darkness without being evil and in the comics she isn’t afraid of tossing tantrums.
Sure I’m a little biased. But I simply don’t get why people are jealous that a cartoon character is more liked than another cartoon character that they feel slighted enough to lash out. “Overrated” is the gentlest term I’ve seen used by people that don’t like Luna or her fans.
Exactly.
The only thing more obnoxious than “lunafags” are anti-“lunafags.”
Pardon, your bias is showing. Luna’s character development is just slightly greater than Celestia’s and Cadance’s. Anyone can feel free to add something I’ve missed, but off the top of my head:
Celestia: Played a mild prank on the Cakes to lighten the mood, was amused at Pinkie eating a cupcake that was literally right under her nose, hates the stuffy Grand Galloping Gala and enjoyed it when the Mane 6 wrecked it, and can forgo royal decorum and be a messy cake eater.
Luna: Enjoys rustic fairground games, can play pranks when she wants, tends to make a dramatic entrance, isn’t afraid to disagree with Celestia regarding Twilight.
Cadance: Willingly does that silly little song-and-dance with Twilight, practices relaxation techniques when stressed, geeks out over a Star Swirl the Bearded exhibit, enjoys the challenges that come up due to Discord’s “illness”.
None of them have had especially deep development yet, but they’ve all had a chance to show their personality and display some quirks and habits that people can relate to. I’m somewhat mystified by how much more popular Luna is than the others, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable for her to be one’s favorite princess.
And I think the whole princess “thing” is left intentionally vague for the headcanons and playtimes for little girls. Each princess has their own brand of princess “thing”.
True.
But if it helps your perspective any, I find her to be the most earnest among them concerning the whole princess “thing”.
So what I’m getting is:
-she wanted to shake things up
-she’s nice and then {headcanon}
-you agree that part of her “personality” is being nice by liking things other ponies like
-comics (which aren’t show canon, and will likely never be show canon. And personally, I’m not too fond of them)
So instead of giving me examples of there being “more to Cadance” you basically said the same things I said back and said those weren’t bad things.
No, they’re not bad things. They’re just generic and uninspired things. And she’s still just a generic uninspired corporate mandate.
Well, it’s more of that she liked Discord because he’s exciting. She enjoyed the adventure and wackiness that he brought because she finds ruling the Empire to be…boring, for the most part.
She’s a kind and supporting character {given how she was pretty much spoiling Spike, I can’t help but think she helped raise him, maybe treating him like a son or something…Eh, might be reading too much into it, but it’s a nice thought.}
And her liking things isn’t a bad thing. (A lot of people go and enjoy these ‘boring conventions’ as you so put it. There’s a reason why they exist.) Pinkie’s joviality is infectious and apple treats are rather scrumptious.
Shining Armor….Read the comics. They do him right.
(Given that she was trained since a young child to be a princess, it would make sense she’s nice to others. She was raised to be respectful and mindful of the feelings of others.)
