I was going after the whole using ponies as mouthpieces thing. It’s meant to say “Sometimes it takes somepony to make us look up to realize we have been falling.”
Saying that sometimes people need to approach us in a cheerful or kind manner to make us brighten up more for us to realize that we have actually been going downward or falling short of what we stand for. Yeah, I understand, though, most people don’t really get my logic.
