Back when she was younger and not as in-control of her powers, she tried to cheer up a pony who was distraught her dog had died.
That pony is now sitting in the local asylum, barking and growling at any who come near. Pinkie felt so bad that she personally pays for that pony’s treatment.
I’ve always had trouble distinguishing the two.
