You do realize that is the entire point of semi-randomized products, yes? Basically, it makes your entire customer base a customer for your entire product line. Either it’ll lead to trading cards (in systems that allow it) which leads to greater socialization and more involvement in the game (and thus, higher retention), or possible interest in other deck types (again, deepening investment in the game, and likelihood of further purchases), or trading for in-game resources (Arcane dust, in this case) allowing for crafting of more cards (and thus further investment, etc, etc.)
 
Basically, it’s a way to increase the likelihood of you spending more without making you feel like you’re forced to, as well as giving you a little gambling high every time you open a pack.

Barely. The image is there, but I do remember when he was in the fight scene aftermath with Gohan and Frieza in Fusion Reborn, which is notable because he wasn’t fucking dead, lol.
