I was going to ramble on about the canonical details of the normal King Sombra vs the mirror world… but my head hurt, so I will just say that after Princess Celestia and Starswirl the Bearded visited so many other worlds using the mirrors, and then Princess Celestia had her little love affair with the other King Sombra, it probably threw all of the universes into a wacky state of timey wimey googly gock that makes comparing time lines and canonical details useless.

well here is a major difference. bon bon and lyra lived a long time ago.

No, guys. These are just regular statues, as far as anything indicates–judging just by the full panel, anyway.
 
But there being memorial statues means that they’re probably dead anyway, yeah.

So, Bon Bon is dead and Lyra (now stoned) watched in horror as she is unable to do anything.

Could they’ve been bearers of the Element of Love or something? Like Alt-Flim & Flam?
