You know, there’s super serious show Luna, and IDW Luna. And your comparison to Pinkie reminds me why Alicorn Pinkie is regarded around here with Apocalyptic consequences.
 
I think, if they can keep the balance we saw getting formed in Luna Eclipsed, they’ll be fine.
 
As long as that child doesn’t become the norm.

Ok, I admit I kind of overreacted this time. But yeah, it still pisses me off that people actually preffer the Pinkie clone Luna over the more mysterious as the night Luna of the show… Which I admit still needs more spotlight to actually shine.

Except that one was in fact a callback (AND THE ONLY ONE ANDY HAS ACTUALLY GIVEN) to Sleepless in Ponyville and of course The Stare Master. Also, that microcomic was GOLD!  
Instead, this one is falling into the exact same mistakes as the Luna micro. Specially making Luna a FUCKING FLADERIZED REHARSH OF PINKIE PIE!!!

Yeah.  
I was totally like: “Yeah, some new pages by Andy Price…”  
But then: “Hey, what’s all that about? And this isn’t exactly Andy Price…”
 
There are just a couple of artists in the fandom that have shown skills good for an official comic. This lovelyneckbeard is one of them, it seems.
 
I could also cite Pony Berserker, if only he could put a bit of more effort.  
Or Glanco. Maybe egophiliac.
