And I wasn’t and am not saying they shouldn’t be rebuked; I’m agreeing with you. I go by two types of forgiveness: #1 releases me from desiring to do the same thing to them in revenge (Which never works anyway) and is unconditional. #2 is conditional because I can only forgive them in that way if I’ve rebuked them and they say “You know what, That’s right. I give up what wrong I was doing.”
you can forgive them all you want
doesnt mean they shouldnt be heavily criticized for their stupidity
Revenge = Bad. Always giving up revenge, always forgiving all who did wrong = good. But it doesn’t mean what they did isn’t stupid.
Um, what?
“just because some shit happened in your life does not suddenly make it acceptable for one to antagonize people and break the rules.”
Forgiveness (The type that lets go of “rightful revenge” - revenge only complicates matters further) is a great thing to do. Yes, I was stung by five bees in 2001 and yes the stings did hurt. BUT, I’ll let the insects “bee” (pun intended though you can think of bee implications too) and just as they’re receiving their nectar, we’re receiving honey and our food too. (Think of all the stuff they do every year, pollinating the flowers on apple trees which eventually become apples. Not only I but everyone else on the whole planet wouldn’t be on such an easy street without them.) They’re great little bugs.
And Petey, I’m commenting about what I quoted. I’m not even sure what you post this sort of stuff on here for (yet.)
I never said it was.
a coping mechanism is not a viable excuse. just because some shit happened in your life does not suddenly make it acceptable for one to antagonize people and break the rules. I’m honestly surprised the sites moderators have been as patient as they have with him.
Sweet.
I’ve long forgotten that option.
I guess I missed a lot of stuff, then.
the mods decided to list my stream in the NSFW section
Come to think of it, why isn’t your LiveStream listed on Derpibooru?
Awweee…. you sure? I’m animating a new character in my stream. We all named him “kitty”
Not this time. Too busy working but also being distracted by ponies.
So much paperwork. Like a whirlpool it never ends.
Sigh
Hi, Petey.
You can even watch it happen in any of the Petey threads here, if you’re so inclined.
The moment people stop giving the responses he thrives on, he either vanishes or immediately goes into angst mode to trigger more sympathy.
Hm, makes sense.
It’s very common. People dealing with something need both comfort and to feel in control. This is how he accomplishes both.
And the Internet’s just the place to do it rather than, you know, actually coping.
Interesting.
Admittedly, the only thing that stops this from being trolling is that it’s done as a coping mechanism on Petey’s part rather than, say, just for laughs or specifically to get a negative response.
He’s going out of his way just to mess with people. That’s what trolls do, and it really is a pretty contemptible use of one’s time. I’m not offended by it in any personal way, but I have zero respect for it.
I beg to differ.
But if that’s your definition of “troll”, maybe Peter isn’t a troll to you.
A troll is never amusing. Their goal is antagonism, not entertainment, at least not to any but themselves. I would hardly give that habit any positive-sounding description.
Some people besides the troll also may get a sadistic pleasure of sorts at seeing this done, but that is no doubt part of our more base and undesirable nature.
Try.
Not all the trolls are the same, after all.
And that Miss Derpibooru is amusing, admit it.
I feel sort of a blank indifference about it for the most part, but I’ve never thought of trolls as “amusing”.
