Although if you are feeling sly, there is a trick to encourage someone to make a trope page of your story. Simply advertise TvTropes to your fans; make references, drop the occasional link in the comments section, etc. Your fans will follow the links and, in they love the site, they’ll sign up.
At that point good job! Your fans are now tropers, at least one of whom might just think your story deserves its own page.
Fortunately, I have just the thing, because I created this amazing guide on how to make trope pages. Although you’d probably not want to make your own page, as Tropers consider that to be like tooting your own horn.
Oh…that seems to be a problem since I doubt I ever could get any of the tropes right.
Other than signing up yourself and making the page there’s no surefire method. If you are hoping for someone else to make it then you need to hope one of you fans are either a troper already or signs up to be a troper and then decide to make a page.
Interesting…By any chance, how can one get someone to make a TVtropes page? I’m currently writing a fic {A different Sunset, Fimfiction} and I’ve been wondering about it.
I know that Kkat expressed enthusiasm for it, and I also made this moderately renowned TV Tropes page for the story two years ago. Not the most popular spin-off, but everything went better than expected.
Yeah. Sad really. The fic deserved more attention then it got. {It’s one of the few Fallout stories that I’ve read at all.}
