Rarity’s a special case.
She may be an older sibling, but she’s part of the Mane 6 “Middle child” grouping.
Going with that, Twilight should belong with the CMC, as she’s the younger sister.
And then of course, Dash and Fluttershy appear to be only children.
Yeah, that grouping really only works for the explicit middle children of Applejack and Pinkie (assuming that Inkie and Blinkie are younger than her of course).
You seem to be forgetting somepony…
