Still not really seeing what the big deal is.
It’s an OC literally designed to be cute. Nothing more. If the artist is happy with their OC, and it’s doing nothing painful to the eye - color scheme, I’ll admit, isn’t the greatest but not eye scarring, she hasn’t been shown to do anything Mary Sue-ish - I say let the owner have his fun.
Sure, it’s nice to have a deep background story (I truly mean this, despite what I’ve said before) but I think people don’t let artists muck around with their OCs enough. At the end of the day, who is it really hurting?
Yeah, sure, you can mean that. They still look overpowered with wings and a horn. There is no such thing as a “unpowerful alicorn”. All alicorns have some sort of powerful magic that makes them what they are. As far as we know, there are no “born alicorns” except for maybe the princesses, and they have an excuse.
This is why I always write good backstories for my characters. I only have one alicorn OC, and he has an actual reason to be an alicorn.
wings + horn does not equal automatic OP. It just depends on what you do with them.
Yeah, but is it really necessary for that OC to be an alicorn? They could just pick between one race, for gods sake, and not make it overpowered.
Heaven forbid an artist draw their own OC.
