I think it was kind of a two in one reference, one to Mount Chimaera the origin of the chimera myth, and as it’s a swamp it’s also to The Princess Bride because as jakcspellgood said it’s the only fire swamp there really is.

I know swamps that have fire that spits out from the ground have been for who knows how long but a good part of me kept wanting to believe this was a deliberate reference.
