Also did anyone realize that Ashleigh Ball (Applejack’s voice actress) plays the flute in a band, and now we have Applejack playing a flute? Granted, it’s not the same kind of flute, but it’s still a flute nonetheless. Now all we need is for Rainbow Dash to play one…  
I wonder if this flute was a family heirloom? Maybe Applejack comes from a long line of snake charmers. Or maybe she’s just crazy prepared.

That much is probably true, but nowadays I usually opt for smaller filesize over quality, while hopefully not compromising too much on the latter.
 
Quality only goes so far in a .gif without also making them bloated and unwieldy, plus it’s probably better to make them smaller whenever you can for the sake of both the staff, and the casual user who has to download them. Not everyone can afford to download 10 to 22 MB .gifs of ponies.
 
(Of course, this is not to say I’m perfect or in any capacity good at making .gifs – I’ve still got a lot to learn.)
 
In this particular case though, with the .gifs, the black vignette effect kinda messed everything up. It’s far less subtle when there’s only 256 colors available globally.
