In what way does saying the fandom who adores (or at least claims to) Faust should respect her feelings over her hatred of a stereotype that should have died a VERY long time ago even remotely imply she’s a homophobe? If you were trying to be sarcastic, fine. If not, then how about piping down yourself?

A lot of folk really do like to ignore that the “tomboyish athlete=gay” makes Lauren Faust’s blood boil don’t they? You’d think for all the song and praise the majority of the fandom give her, they’d respect her feelings on that especially after she put that politically correct obsessed blogger in her place.

I wonder the same thing. His character in the show and in this comic suffers from the “I’m a jerk because the script says so” disease. It’s common in cartoons and other media since I was just a child. But the author probably doesn’t have time to really flesh him out. All we know is that Dumbbell was a jerk and stopped being a jerk after Sonic Rainboom.
 
Though sometimes I’d still like to know ‘why’.

I think most of the bitching stems from either 1 of 2 things.
 
1.People aren’t actually upset by this new turn. They’re upset that she’s having these feelings for Firefly and not Fluttershy, the preferred choice.
 
2.Lesbian Dash is what’s expected. But for most of the story with Dash denying being a fillyfooler, a lot of readers probably felt that this incarnation of Dash really would be legit straight. And now that it looks like they were wrong it feels like a let down.
 
This is just a theory. It’s still way too early to tell.

Now, and this just me wondering about this in general: WHY does it have to be unique? Just like with the show, why does every story HAVE to be all new and innovative nowadays? Again, not saying anyone specifically means that, but I’d like to hear an answer for this.

Lesbian dash is overdone (mostly) due to stereotypes with her character. Many people thought this comic would be different, but it seems the artist has different plans. I hope what rainbow is feeling is just a phase, dealing with teenage hormones and confusion/experimenting, and that she realizes that she isn’t interested in the same gender after this experience. THAT would certainly be something unique.

Is it me, or does every picture or comic involving Dumbbell portray him as some asshole!?! I know this comic in particular is a headcanon prequel to the show which justifies the bullying but the other pics here aren’t. The guy fucking apologized to RD!

I hate that we have yet another story involving the SO ORIGINAL plot where Dash discovers she’s gay or bi, but Ill still be reading this. Its a very fun comic, despite the questionable turn to cliches.
