I never got the pack with Twi Shining and Cadence.
In fact, I can’t find any of those packs anymore. Are those still for sale anywhere?
Maaannn, I been hauntin’ the Targets and Toys Я Useses around here lookin’ for this thing ‘cuz I thought it was already out.
@NostalgiaSchmaltz
Target Audience loves the hay out of blindbag figures; any time I get a set that has extras I don’t want/need, I always save ’em so I can give ‘em to kids at my table at conventions, and they’re always just thrilled to no end.
I want Ditzy Drizzle Dazzle!
Pop ponies and EQG dolls (which I happen to like)
Ironically, I didn’t see as many new blind bags at the toy fair this year as I did last year. And there was only like 3 new characetrs as brushables, and most are sold with dolls.
Actually is getting kind of weird, I don’t know if this is the right interpretation but I don’t think Hasbro thinks the market wants many brushables anymore?
Their big “creative” toy for this year are swappable plastic ponies, since the market apparently wants more than just altering hair/tail.
I meant forced to buy brushables that are out in hopes that more difefrent ones will be made.
I wasn’t talking about ‘bland’ bags there.
Uh…you know you can easily tell what character is inside based on a code that’s on the bag, right? You don’t actually think they have no system for telling what’s in each bag at the factory?
>why should I be forced to
And there is the first problem of your argument, your not being forced to buy them.
I really wanted a Twi and didn’t want to go and buy a bunch of bland bags, so I didn’t and then saw the pack with her, Shining and Cadance so I got that as I liked the way Shining looked and I know my niece would like the Cadnace one, so I got that.
Never forced to buy anything.
I do… But why should I be forced to buy 15 of the same character over and over just for hopes of getting one or two more new ones?
I really can’t wait for the Clerical Error Pony, otherwise known as Dazzle Dazzle Dazzle!
@Itsthinking
I’m pretty sure there would be a huge market for official plushies. Just look at all the money people making with custom plushies. Heck, I myself would be one of the first people to buy a Spitfire, Soarin’or Fleetfoot plushie if Hasbro would make them and they wouldn’t look like junk. But it’s probably not going to happen since Blindbags are far cheaper easier to produce.
Maybe buy more brushables? I always see them on the shelf while these miniatures fly off the shelves.
Of course they are, its just that brushable fans sadly get the shaft is all. I wish fans of both were catered to and both blind bags and brushables got new characters and releases consistantly, but sadly there have been few new character releases of brushables since mid 2012.
Did you ever think that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the “miniatures” sets are popular with the “target demographic” as well?
Really now.
>and only the bronies get what they want
post data to back up your claim or gtfo
It’s called supply and demand. If people bought more brushables, they would make more of them. But because more people buy blindbags and Funko figurines, they make more of those.
They’ll always make brushables, don’t doubt that. I just don’t think you’re going to get a brushable for a character like Daring Do.
And I like both equally, while some older fans like the show first, but clearly we’re not allowed to win, and only the bronies get what they want. And what of the target demographic that likes brushing hair and wants new characters?
