No you’re mistaken, she’s “DAHPI” in Japan, and “DOP” in Italy. :P
 
But don’t get me wrong, I don’t really support editing the scene honestly, even if I do prefer the name “Ditzy.” (Which would’ve been a nice call-back to the “Winter Wrap-up” ep’. Though I’m sure people would’ve gotten angry over that name to…)

By that logic, sense they edited the scene, then we shouldn’t be calling her “Derpy” either, as it’s no longer in the show either.
 
I think people can call her whatever they prefer, I like both names. “Ditzy-Doo” was actually used by fans just as much as “Derpy” was before the whole “Derpygate” fiasco started, and soured people on calling her anything, but “Derpy.” (Yes, I’ve seen people catch crap for calling her “Ditzy,” as well actually.)
 
I say we just call her “Steve,” if calling her either “Derpy,” or “Ditzy” upsets people so much. :P

Yes, Faust said they MIGHT call her that, but they didn’t.
 
And last time I checked, draft versions of scripts do not count towards any kind of canonicity. Read It And Weep was originally called “Reading Rainbow” in the draft of the script, but you don’t see anyone trying to argue that “Reading Rainbow” is the true title…because it’s a draft, not final.
 
Faust may no longer be involved, but the things she was discussing were from when she was involved. Ditzy Doo did not have a design. Referring to the grey/blonde pegasus as “Ditzy Doo” is canonically incorrect.

Ditzy-Doo was originally an unseen pony in “Winter Wrap-up.” Actually, she also stated on DA before that they considered calling her Ditzy Doo, as a callback to the “Winter Wrap-up” episode, but said people can still call her “Derpy” if they want.
 
Also, according to Amy Keaton Rogers, writer of “The Last-Round-up” she was going to be called “Ditzy-Doo” originally in the script, but then they changed it to “Derpy,” as a fandom shout-out. So she can be called either name if people wish apparently.
 
Also, Lauren Faust is no longer involved in the show, so not everything she says is canon. She even stated that herself not to take all her original ideas (like Scoots being “crippled”) as “canon.”

The problem with “Ditzy Doo” is that, per word of Faust, it is now canonically incorrect to refer to Derpy as “Ditzy Doo”.
 
Faust said that “Ditzy Doo” never had a design, so there is literally no in-universe association between the name “Ditzy Doo” and the grey/blonde pegasus. The association was 100% fanon, and word of Faust disproves it.

I saw some Tumbrls and blogs back on derpygate… sure it was just like 2 which said that. compared to the other bunch which just plainly hate the entire pony sure is insignificant.

I prefered the name “Ditzy,” but I was never like that, and never had anything against “Derpy” either. (I use both names) I didn’t mind the show calling her “Derpy” instead honestly. Neither did alot of others I’ve seen who used the alternate name “Ditzy.” (Like BaldDumboRat who does her voice in some fanon things.)

I like the name Muffins, the name Derpy was slightly-offensive and seemed out of place in the MLP universe but I guess it is possible for Muffins to be her real name and Derpy to be a nick-name

I will choose to be happy that they have at least have decided to make more merchandise of her.Take that soulless SjWs!
