It’s funny, when I read this comic, I always imagine “Mr. ?” as having a really deep and obviously male voice.
What’s wrong with being sexy?
That certainly works, but again, there’s no reason for that other bit of French to be in their lexicon.
I agree with this interpretation. It makes perfect sense.
I like to think buck doesn’t replace fuck directly like that, instead having a meaning of its own. Like, “buck you” sprang from disliking someone so much that you want to kick them in the face.
Can’t imagine why you’d want them to appear less innocent. That’s what I liked about them originally, they managed to balance being relatable and more idealistic than your typical TV characters. Of course, they’ve since shown that they have their own variety of maledictions to choose from, and “buck” aligns itself better with those words than the crass vulgarity with which we’re more familiar.
That’s your opinion, brah. I like ponies who swear because it makes them look less innocent, more normal (my opinion), since most of society swears from time to time, and makes the ponies appear less “appeals only to little girls”.
But that’s just my opinion.
I don’t particularly enjoy seeing swear words forced into pony stuff all the time, and this is as good a compromise as any. As for your comic there, I’ve seen it, and it’s a poor argument at best. Common words have always been used for exclamations, so the artist has misrepresented the facts.
Also, Veggie is way overrated.
I do because it seems as though artists are afraid to use the word. I don’t like too many words to be “ponified”.
Have a comic that sums up how I feel:
That would probably just result in a feminine dutch or pixie cut.
I don’t. I guess the problem is you!
