Most prisoners are just cocooned, but Cadence gets the extra-special treatment.

Digestion is not how changling queen anatomy works. First, she swallows you, you transform into an egg, are laid a month later and then hatch three weeks later as the newest member of the hive. Although, cadence is gonna be next in line for the changling thrown, then Twilight if she gets nommed by the queen.
