@Background Pony #004D There’s a lot that are just “This movie in 3 separate formats” and nothing more. Usually they’re in the big-ass grab bag bins (the b-movie type like Hood Sistas or whatever) but there have been a few major releases, or re-releases of old works, that have nothing extra aside from viewing format choice.  
Also: see I am Legend for one such ‘still fits the original story’ ending.

They still have deleted scenes on almost all DVDs and Blu-Rays but most movies actually have a real plot and an ending that they want to stick to and not one that is as easily changed so they never really have an alternate ending to show unless they make one as a joke. I don’t know what you’re talking about with no special features at all, though.

@Ping_chan This actually used to be a thing when dvds first came out that you would have a quick little alternate ending or other scene just for dvd, but then they figured out people were dumb enough to still buy them at the same price, or even upsold, for the same pitiful crap they normally churn out with no extras to speak of, so that golden era ended in a flash. Pretty soft for a Sony.
The part of me that likes random things wishes they could actually produce a season finale somewhat randomized.  
In that there could be several different versions of the same episode, kind of like the IDW cover variants.  
So like when they open the box, it would be something different depending how lucky you are when you pick up the DVD or make a digital download.
