Don’t get me started with Maud Pie, who NEVER showed up in Pinkie’s flashback in Cutie Mark Chronicles.
To be perfectly fair, family lives are a personal business so unless given a reason to mention a sibling, Twilight didn’t have to mention Shining Armor. For all we know, Fluttershy has an older sister she sees no reason to bring up.
Coupled with FiM’s episodic format and well, it doesn’t seem so bad.
And then there’s her brother, who was NEVER mentioned at all until the Canterlot Wedding two-parter. >_>
Yeah, I thought Twilight had no parents before “The Cutie Mark Chronicles.”
