Well the reason I was talking about Shining armor was because I was talking with another commenter about the crystal guard pony and how he was a Pegasus.We tried to figure out the roles of the other guards including flash and shining. I tried to talk about what was shining role in the empire military when suddenly ROTHEY and Keller start saying that shining wouldn’t have an appearance which confused me ,but I though they were making fun of how long it took for shining to get an appearance.Then you started talking about how he’s a fan loathed character who was hated by the fandom.I asked if you meant shining armor,and you started talking about how he’s bland ,stupid and a plot device for hasbro.At this I knew you meant flash but I believed you had somehow mistaken him for shining armor.SO I claimed you had no basis for argument and then everyone starts saying saying how you were talking about flash when I thought everyone was talking armor. So I think everything was just because people didn’t check what they arguing about.

When you mentioned stuff to be revealed for his next appearence about Shining Armor and Flash Sentry’s garrison and such, I assumed you were talking about Flash Sentry’s ‘next appearence’. Others as well, since ROTHY and Jack Kellar laughed at the idea of Flash Sentry making an additional appearence, while it is far more likely Shining Armor will reappear in a future episode.
 
I couldn’t understand why you would be referring to Shining Armor, since we already know quite a bit about him. More characterization for Shining is always welcome, but considering the picture topic, it sounded like someone who wanted more out of Flash Sentry…who is, as Jack Kellar said, the role of a dedicated guard and background pony and nothing more outside the most terrible aspects of EG.

He’s a completely empty character that fit the role of generic plot device and love interest with zero characterization. His cutie mark and Ken Doll-ness was so predictibly generic girl-bait that I predicted it before he even existed (long story short, combine Shining Armor’s cutie mark with Rainbow Dash’s cutie mark to make the most generic alpha cutie mark/Princess boyfriend). He’s part of some of the worst written parts of EG, which was so riddled with plotholes, you had to literally search for a scene without them.
 
Most of his pictures get more downvotes then upvotes on this site, so this opinion is hardly minuscule.

And this expeditionary garrison is lead by Flash sentry,Shining role is unknown as since his marriage is he still the captain of the guard,is he a prince,does he have military control over the empire forces?All will have to be answered by his next appearance hopefully.

Actually that’s exactly what I was going to say. After all the Crystal Empire is a newly re-established nation in Equestria, one that’s going to host the Equestrian Games at that, it only makes sense to have Celestia send some of her men there to help make sure everything goes smoothly.

I hoped you understand I’m only giving counter arguments here and it may seem like I’m trying to crush your idea but…if he was turned into a crystal pony by some pulsing magic emanating from the core of the crystal hearth ,why would he then join the military forces of a Newley discover state?(if you want you could say he is one of Celestias Expeditionary forces and was enchanted by Cadence to not intimidate the crystal ponies with a occupation by another nation.)
